I finished the Cartoon Network Ident and am happy enough with the finished piece. I say happy enough because almost all motion designers or animators will “baby” their projects and they are never truly finished in a sense where they will keep polishing up their projects. I could identify several areas of the Ident that I would spend extra time to tweak and rework but the best advice i’ve ever gotten is to set a deadline for myself and to push out my projects. I refrained from adding various effects such as depth-of-field, grain overlays, or lens flares.
For my next project, I will work on a “Alexander McQueen – Puma” spec piece. I have already begun test renders and am laying out the direction for this next project. I will give myself a 2 week deadline and may have a process update on this project. Anyhow here’s the finished Cartoon Network ident. Enjoy!
