Practice and the need for more

I haven’t been managing my time well the past week.  I will have to schedule my time so I can get in at least 2 hours of personal time every day to practice.  I did manage to squeeze out two sheets of practice.

I blurred out one figure because it was terrible and does not justify a good session.

I practiced line of action, construction, and silhouette.  I checked my copy and I feel I am doing a better job with keeping overall proportion and line fidelity.

Of course with no practice the past several days, any gains are quickly fading.  I will commit myself to more practice and will try to post more model sheets.

I have also tried doing a quick animation study of the walk cycle.  I scribbled in the figure as my sole focus was getting the timing and spacing correct.  This is a terrible study but I will post this up so I can compare my progress later.

I will post more animation studies this way.  I like that I can draw a real animation to practice my timing and spacing without worrying about the quality of my drawings.  I understand that the hardest part in animation is the believability of action, with good drawing skills coming in real close behind this.
