Nerdist News
Nerdist News was in development with Syfy to bring Nerdist News in longer-format to Syfy. Chris Hardwick was to host the show covering things like science fiction, fantasy, tech, media, pop culture and all things nerdy. The only thing that could have made Nerdist News on Syfy even better would have been if Jessica Chobot was slated host the show as she’s the face of Nerdist News. We’ve been trying to nurture and grow this format of show, in shows like Reactor and The Wil Wheaton show, and we just couldn’t find out groove. I felt we at Syfy had our answer with Nerdist News. Unfortunately for reasons that aren’t very clear, Nerdist News never made it past pre-production. Well enough background, let’s take a look at the design.

Just some good old-fashioned keyframes and some elbow grease!
Pretty simple package, kept it light and worked mainly in Illustrator and After Effects to deliver a simple yet premium broadcast package worthy of Nerdist News.
